Welcome to Amber Valley Farm, our slice of paradise.
Amber Valley Farm is the home of Gypsy Chicks Free Range Eggs and The Strzelecki Sausage Company, from our small but growing herd of rare breed dairy sheep and Dexter Cattle and Wessex Saddleback pigs, we will be making a range of handcrafted sausages. Gypsy Chicks Free Range Eggs come from our flock of hard working girls who truly are free range poultry. Read about them and their caravan here.
In addition to our sausages and eggs, we hand rear Jersey and Jersey Friesian cross dairy heifers who are fed by our small but hard working herd of hand picked Jersey cows with a select few raised and trained as house cows for sale.
After years of working and living in the city, we have embarked on a rural adventure, bringing a neglected hilly farm back up to scratch as we adopt an environmentally friendly and self sufficient lifestyle that was inspired by Joel Salatin of Polyface Farm in the USA and the original River Cottage series in England.
Having been keen campers in the South Gippsland area we finally settled at Amber Valley Farm, nestled in the Strzelecki Ranges in Victoria, an hour and a half from Melbourne.
